American psycho

American psycho is a 2000 comedy psychological crime film. It is about a wealthy investment banker named Patrick Bateman who hides his ego, which turns out to be psychopathic, from his friends and later, his illogical fantasies escalate, which causes him to have an uncontrollable bloodlust. This would fit into the category for a psychological thriller as the film focuses on an angle from someone mentally. This would be conveyed in the trailer in which the main character is seen to be doing things, such as chopping someone, who licks identical to him and having their blood splatter on himself, which would make the audience question his mental health. Also, the character is sometimes seen to be distressed or to be having some sort of breakdown, which is shown in the trailer where he is covered in blood, shirtless, screaming, facing down to the bottom of the stairs. This would present the idea that the character portrays different moods in the thriller. There are even times in the trailer in which the trailer transitions back to pitch black.

My favourite thriller film with a sub genre of action Thriller would be Gemini man. This would be due to the idea that the elements of action combines with elements of thriller, such as having a fight scene during night to convey that there would be tension between the two fighting characters and considering ho no one really sees what happens in the night, they will have a huge fight.
